Section 13
Plot Synopsis
Johnny's true allegiance is called into question.
Plot Summary
Johnny was instructed to stay in his quarters by Sergeant Rosenberg when Agent Bilks of Alliance Special Security arrived on the ship to interrogate him about a possible breach in security. Johnny insisted that encrypted communications coming from his quarters were simply to Kayla Waif, but of course he was not believed. Johnny offered up other explanations for the coincidental breaches in security during his calls to Kayla, but they were ignored. With the accusations flying Johnny suggested he might need a lawyer but when it was brought to his attention that it would be a lawyer clone he changed his mind.
Johnny was left in his quarters to think about things but was almost instantly transported on board a Hoff ship and greeted as a brother. Kodor attempted to assure Johnny that his real memories would return in time and that he was home now. Naskul expressed concern that perhaps Johnny was broken and Kodor agreed that it was a possibility. They informed Johnny that before things could go back to normal he needed to report the information he gathered about the Alliance. Kodor attempted to convince Johnny that his whole life had been a ruse and that he had been surgically altered to look human but Johnny could not wrap his brain around the idea. When Kayla came out to convince Johnny of the truth it only served to make him point out that he was indeed dating a pop star.
Talig came in to take Kayla to surgery so that she could return to her normal hoff appearance and Johnny was told that he would be next, which he didn't find pleasant. When Kayla returned in her hoff form they continued to insist Johnny give them the information he'd gathered, the toll codes, but Johnny could not produce those codes and when they finally realized he did not have them, they decided it would be best to kill him.
They revealed that Kayla was not in fact a hoff and neither was Johnny and while they were still planning on killing him, Johnny was relieved that he still had a hot girlfriend. Just as they were about to kill him, Agent Bilks stopped the holodeck simulation and the whole situation proved to be an attempt to see if Johnny really was a traitor or not. Agent Bilks then offered Johnny a job at Section 13 a clandestine organization within the Alliance focused on Alliance Security. He impressed upon Johnny the fact that there was a leak regarding the toll codes and that it could only have been Johnny or Captain Smith who was responsible. A stunned Johnny followed Agent Bilks to discover the the truth of those accusations.
