Booty Call of Cthulhu
Plot Synopsis
Belinda works with old friends and old foes to discover the secrets of the Yellow King.
Plot Summary
Aboard the Valerian?, Belinda Reines studied the decaying body of the Captain of that ship. Darkness crept in around her, much to her annoyance and she complained to Cthulhu about the lighting. He complied with her wishes and brought up the lights so it wouldn't be as hard to see. After some discussion of the corpses Cthulhu brought in someone to help Belinda, the mad scientist Ambion. Belinda knew of Ambion's reputation and warned him if he tried anything she wouldn't be as lenient as her crew had been previously.
They studied the remains and found that some had fought back against the change. Looking through archives of the Ancients they found that something similar had happened to them on Vego. A course was set and Cthulhu was able to use Old One technology to beam them down to the technology dampended planet. There Belinda met with Master Talkoni and Iadgo Tellal who escorted her and Ambion to a Ancient Machine, on the hopes that she would not shut it off like she had others.
With in the Ancient archives Belinda was able to find details about a drug that could be used and mental exercises that could prevent the Kind in Yellow from invading their minds at which point Ambion revealed that he was there to prevent her from sharing that information. After stating that the Force would not work on him and subsequent test by Belinda he gloated that she could not harm him. Belinda countered that not all people were just one that and the Master Talkoni was a Qixencotll and descended from the Old Ones. The Jedi Master would have no trouble keeping Ambion on Vego for the rest of his life. At that Belinda and Cthulhu departed with the information and left Ambion to suffer.
