You Can Never Go Home Again]
Plot Synopsis
The crew visit TAG's home world, learn about TAG and Alice gets into some trouble.
Plot Summary
Traveling near Nuzzalar the Captain decides that it would be a prudent time to visit and learn a little bit more about his Chief Science Officer. On the planet they are greeted by Wezylezylos, the aide to the High Magnate of Nuzzalar and an old acquaintance of TAG, whom he calls Snoogiewoogielar. The crew is amused to know TAG's true name, but TAG is less happy about this.
Alice makes a critical mistake in psychoanalyzing a nuzzalari which is a offense punishable by mortal combat on Nuzzalar. Alice explains that the people have such obvious psychological problems, which TAG disagrees with rather angrily and Alice points out the concept of antenna envy. For her combat Alice is equipped with a gold bikini which serves no purpose beyond fan service, to which she further comments about the nuzzalari having issues. She enters into combat against the offended nuzzalari using the traditional electrosticks? and while trying to determine if things can be settled in a more civilized manner she almost loses her head. During the combat she continues to psychoanalyze and enrage her opponent, prompting Wezylezylos to comment that no one has ever incurred further punishment during punishment. At one point Captain Smith even suggests leaving Alice with the nuzzalari, however Marty chastises him and the Captain thinks better of it.
Ultimately Alice shows combat prowse and defeats her opponent by removing his antenna, causing a fatality and ending the combat. As it was ritual combat the death is acceptable. Though the Captain chastizes her for her actions he admits that at least she did not start a war, putting her on better footing than Marty, thus far.
Back on the ship the crew continues to make fun of TAG's real name for a while longer, but his frustration brings them to laughter.
At the end of the epsiode there are several short interludes including Darth Vader choking an officer for telling him the death star is more powerful than the Force, Marty regretting asking Skip how his week was, and the Captain and Marty discussing the strange feeling of being watched.
