Plot Synopsis

Belinda and the Doctor take a step into Belinda's past.

Plot Summary

Belinda and the Doctor travel back into Belinda's past to see her mother and father around the time that they separated. They see her father leave and go to speak with a young Belinda and her mother learning a bit more about Wilhelmina's attitude. A young Belinda sees through the fake names they've given but doesn't probe further. Afterwards they go to see Belinda's father as he prepares his ship to leave and Belinda realizes that he owes a debt to Captain Bly which he can't yet pay and Bly wants him dead. When they go back to talk to Wilhelmina she explains that she knows why Belinda's father left and reveals that she knows who Belinda really is. As they leave the Doctor suggests they could go find Belinda's mother in the present but she refuses. Back at the TARDIS? they head out again but something impossible happens and the struggle to hang on.
