Plot Synopsis
An ally comes to the Muffin seeking help and brings trouble with them.
Plot Summary
A Klendaythan Squidpod? made its way through an asteroid field followed by an unknown ship on its way to the Muffin, which they signaled with a distress call. On board the Muffin, Ambassador Shayloo introduced Lord Rengathoo and Minister Fandreenoo to Captain Smith and asked for his help with an ancient enemy of the Klendaythan. While introduction and explanations were made, the ship that had followed the Klendaythan attached itself to the top of the Muffin without anyone noticing.
The Klendaythan admited that their weapons are no match for their old enemy but Alliance weapons could be modifiable to do some damage. Before anything else could be done the ship went into Red Alert and they ran to the bridge. Shauna reported a power drain of unknown origin and when Bob inquired if they would be able to detect this ancient enemy, Ambassador Shayloo admitted that would be a problem. Upon exterior inspection of the vessled the Klendaythan confirmed that it was not as bad as they thought, it was just a drone. This gave Shauna the opportunity to get access to the ship through the point where it had tapped into their ship. Shauna, Lord Rengathoo, Dekket, and Waines boarded the drone where they set an explosive to make the drone release itself.
After the explosion and subsequent release of the drone Belinda, in her ship targeted the drone and destroyed it.
Ambassador Shayloo apologized for leading them to the Muffin but along with tips from the Klendaythan and salvage of some of the drone's wreckage Shauna had begun to understand the technology and would be prepared for them in the future.
