Jedi Holocron

Jedi Holocrons were data storage devices that contained the likeness and personalities of great Jedi who had much knowledge to impart.

History

When the Jedi realized that many of their order were learning more than they were capable of teaching in a single lifetime they began creating the holocrons. The holocrons were used to preserve the image and wisdom of Jedi so that they could teach future generations even after they became one with the living Force.

Construction

Using crystal technology the Jedi were able to imprint complex crystal computers with the imagine, personality, and teachings of powerful Jedi. This information could then be accessed at any time by another Jedi, or as they soon found out, the Sith.
