Iona

Iona was a dark world covered by a dense atmosphere. The native Ionites lived beneath the surface in a series of mines.

Geography

Iona is mostly a barren rock, but the crust is filled with tunnels and mines the natives use to harvest the planet's natural resources.

History

When Iona was first discovered the Ionites were already proficient miners, collecting rare minerals from their world. They easily incorporated this into the Alliance and were quick to travel beyond their own world to find mining opportunities elsewhere in the galaxy.
