The Alliance Colonial Marines

The Alliance Colonial Marines was the branch of the Unified Galactic Alliance Armed Forces which dealt primarily with those things that other branches of the Armed Services were not properly equipped to handle. They were the black operations specialists and the covert operatives who handled small scale wars no one ever heard about. They were also the first sent in on bug hunts.

History

Along with the Navy, the Army, and Air and Space Force, the Alliance Marine Corps were founded at the inception of the Alliance as a peacekeeping force for the Allied worlds. The Marine Corps took on a strange autonomy that kept it separate from the other armed forces and allowed them to work covertly and take on only the brightest and best the Alliance Armed Forces had to offer. Very few people ever applied to be in the Marines, they were approached more often than not.

Uniforms

Marine uniforms are somewhat rare as the marines do not require uniforms, often warning against them or outright forbidding them based on the missions. Most marine spend many years on a ship deep in enemy territory and the Alliance wishes that nothing be traced back to them, so often uniforms are forgotten and different clothes are adopted and the situation is left at that.
