History

Since transporters came into use and sensors became widely used, the need to block the intrusive effects of these technological wonders was necessary. Thus spatial dampening fields were generated to hide people and objects and prevent easy transport into areas.

Construction

Through manipulation of natural energy fields, spatial dampening fields made sensor scans unreliable and transport dangerous if not impossible.
