Prosthetic
Prosthetics were artificial limbs or organs, often mechanical, used to replace lost limbs or organs. There were often color restrictions on such technology for no particular reason, and the quality of the replacements could vary greatly due to cost.
History
First designed for instances when someone lost a limb or an organ, prosthetics eventually became near perfect replacements, with little to not decrease in functionality.
Construction
Prosthetics varied greatly in construction and design and based on what specifically they were replacing. Cost played a major issue in the quality of the prosthetic and there were often color restrictions.
