Homeostasis Suit
Homeostasis Suits were complex regulatory medical apparatuses worn by those who had been severely injured. The suits allowed the maintenance of bodily functions. They were often not meant to be worn for more than a couple of weeks without being changed or cleaned, otherwise they often started to smell.
History
First designed to help critically hurt patients function normally during their recovery the homeostasis suits quickly fell out of favor as they were not meant to be worn long term and often not long enough for the person to heal properly.
Construction
Homeostasis suits were designed to regulate bodily functions and speed the healing processes after the wearer sustained traumatic injury. They were meant to allow an injured person to make it off of the battlefield or to complete some short task after the injury before going on more stable rest and recuperation.
