Automated Turret
"This next test involves turrets. You remember them, right? They're the pale spherical things that are full of bullets. Oh wait. That's you in five seconds. Good luck."

History
Turrets were built by Aperture Science initially to test the reaction times and mortality of androids. Those same turrets were later used to torment a test subject being abused by a rouge A.I. Since then they found use as guards, and tortures for other forms of test subjects.
Construction
Close to spherical in design and mostly white, turrets stood on three legs and were armed with a nearly limitless supply of bullets that were fired from two guns on either side of their main body. They had a single red eye that they used to monitor their surroundings and then shoot said surroundings.
