Zmiya
Zmiya were arachnoid humanoids with seven eyes.
Biology and Appearance
Zmiya were arachnoid humanoids, whose chitin strongly resembled the flesh of most humanoids. They had seven eyes, one large central eye with six smaller faceted eyes surrounding the central eye. Zmiya had a highly advanced regenerative capability, able to heal wounds that would prove fatal to almost any other species in short order. They had even been known to regrow their own limbs in a matter of days.
Society and Culture
Zmiya were extremely social creatures, preferring never to be alone, or even in small groups. It was rare to find solitary Zmiya, they craved company. This preference lead them to a complex form of polygamy on their home world. Their family units were often large and the central focus of their lives.
History
Unlike many other such species the zmiya never had a hive structure and kept to their family groups. Due to their desire to form large groups their society saw little conflict in their history, doing what it could to accommodate resources and space for as many as wanted to gather in one place.
