Vesprian

Vesprians were an arachnoid humanoid species capable of processing visual information far into both the infrared and ultraviolet spectrums, to the point where they could visually interpret microwaves and x-rays.

Biology and Appearance

Vesprians were basically humanoid in appearance, however their heads were large stalks that extended into a complex four eyed head with an intensely complex visual system capable of interpreting a much wider range of photic energy than any other species.

Society and Culture

Vesprian society was based around the hive and service to the hive. There were many hives, each with a queen to direct it, and each member of the hive was an extension of the will of the queen. It was not that the queen controlled the individual hive members, or that they did not have their own personality, but their first service was always to their queen.

History

Vesprians once served their hives blindly, moved to service by pheromonal cues, however as their species expanded and spread to the stars that service became more about duty and honor to the hive, rather than a choice less chemically induced service.
