Tori
The Tori were a math worshiping people who may have once been Human from the planet Torus.
Biology and Appearance
Physiologically the tori were very similar to humans and may have been descended from them. Their faces were more gaunt and their eyes larger, but otherwise they were very human.
Society and Culture
Tori society was based around the concepts and religion of mathematics. Everything in their society was centered on mathematical concepts and they worshiped a deity named |Jim|, who was one of their own who had ascended to a state of pure mathematics. All of their laws and traditions were based around mathematics.
History
While it was speculated that the tori were once humans, likely from Earth, no records existed as to how they came to live on Torus. Their written history consisted primarily of mathematical proofs and how they had influenced society.
