Pilots were a race of large arthropods capable of bonding with living ships but also capable of living on their own. They were well known for their multitasking ability.
Biology and Appearance
Pilots are larger four armed arthropods with a complex nervous system which was capable of extreme multitasking as well as bonding to living Leviathan? ships.
Society and Culture
Little was known about Pilot culture as most of them lived solitary lives on board of ships or at the center of complex systems. Being bonded to a Leviathan was their most honored prospect.
History
Whether Pilots were bred for being bonded to ships or somehow evolved the ability on their own is uncertain. They did not have a written history and what they did know of their past they kept to themselves.
