Insectoid
Insectoids are an insectoid species from the colonial world of Nebulan 6 known for the intricate role they play in galactic politics and computer system design.
Biology and Appearance
Insectoids are a nonhumanoid species, they have four legs and two "hands" which they use to manipulate technology. They have highly adapted visual systems allowing them to see into a variety of light spectra and hands capable of fine motar skills well above most other sentient species.
They survive in a hive system with a single queen per region producing offspring, mostly drones who cater to her and move the race forward.
Culture and Society
Insectoids have a caste system, in which there is only two castes: the queens, and everyone else. All work is to forward the good of the hive and the race.
History
There has never been an urge to record history for the insectoids, they simply rely on what their queen tells them has happened and what will happen.
