The Synari Empire
The Synari Empire was the area of space controlled by the Synari who dreamed of glory and battle, not so much conquest, though some among them felt that they should be ruling the galaxy.
History
The Synari Empire began on Synar and spread from there to a number of neighboring systems and worlds. They found very little in the way of sentient life at first, and quickly established colonies and outposts. They fought mostly among themselves, splitting into factions and royal houses, until they came across other sentient species. It was then that their combat and their desire to honor the glory of the Empire began in earnest.
