PETR
People for the Ethical Treatment of Robots or PETR was a powerful organization bent on pissing off as many people as possible, because only robots are important.
History
Founded during a time of great affluence in the Alliance when a lot of young people with too much money and too much time on their hands decided that droids and robots were living beings too and should not be subjugated to slavery and unethical treatment. They quickly turned into a group who cared more about mechanical beings than their fell organics. The droids and robots themselves had little to nothing to do with the group and were largely uninterested in the goings on, since it was their programing to do what they were told and it fulfilled their purpose in life. Still PETR grew and got lawyers involved in their "plight," much to the annoyance of just about everyone.
Historians attribute this movement as one of the catalysts for the Lawyer Wars and the subsequent destruction of the profession in favor of the Lawyer Clones.
