The Assassination of President Zaius
After his second election as President of the Universe, president Zaius was killed by an electrical incident. Despite possible theories to the contrary, this had absolutely nothing to do with the ability of his vice-president to project electricity from his hands. After the president's death, the vice-president took charge of the known Universe.
