Shubati
Shubati were complex colonial plants that grew in large stalks that tapered to a hollow point.
Biology and Appearance
Shubati were complex colonial planets that grew into large pale green stalks with a hollow center. They collected water through that hollow center that allowed them to grow. They also attracted insects and small mammals into the hollow center and those creatures were consumed by an organic acid the plant produced, breaking down their proteins into viable nutrients for the plant colony.
History
Shubati were often harvested for their use in medical technology, the organic acid they produced was often used in wound repair in less advanced space faring societies.
