Headcrab
Headcrabs were extradimensional creatures allowed to roam on the planet Earth during a Cascade Incident, not all of the creatures returned to their home dimension. It was possible to domesticate them, but highly dangerous.
Biology and Appearance
Headcrabs were small quadrapedal organisms with a single large mouth at the base of their bulbous body. That mouth was able to attach to the heads of a number of larger organisms and overtake their nervous system. The result was a parasitic bond that gave the headcrab full control over the host and caused it do violent things.
History
Headcrabs came to Earth during the Cascade Incident at the Black Mesa facility in Nevada. Since that time the few remaining headcrabs shambled about, taking hosts when they could and generally caused mischief.
