Elephant
Elephants were large land dwelling mammals who lived on Earth.
Biology and Appearance
Elephants were several tons in size and had thick greyish skin. They had large prehensile trunks extending from their face and massive ears. They were capable of communicating with each other across great distances using very low frequency sound generation. What they communicated about remained a mystery.
History
Often brutalized on Earth in the distant past, Elephants became revered as humanity spread to the stars. They were rarely taken off their home world and remained the only "lower life form" on Earth that buried their dead.
