Corviser
Corvisers were a feline species that had claws so poisonous they retained their deadly nature long after they had been removed from the animal. Corviser claws were sought after for use in weapons?.
Biology and Appearance
Corvisers resembled large predatory felines. Their skin was thicker, however, and covered only in patchy fur. Their life spans were shortened considerably by the strange poison that surged through their veins and saturated every inch of their being. They were not sought after for food or for clothing due to this toxin, though their claws, which retained the poison for decades after removal made excellent weapons when harvested. Harvesting those claws required catching and killing a corviser, however, and that was a daunting task for all but the most skilled hunters.
History
The corsviers' planet of origin had long been forgotten and they strange, vicious creature had spread to a number of words. Their shortened lifespan prevented them from decimating native species on a number of worlds and those crazy enough to hunt for their claws helped prevent the problem as well.
