I watched all of Stargate Universe as I do love the Stargate franchise. It had it’s moments, but overall I didn’t really feel any sort of connection with the characters, I honestly didn’t care very much when bad things happened and that doesn’t really make for good TV in my mind.
He’s really more like Craig Ferguson than David Letterman.
The trouble with Universe was that right when it started to pick up steam in season 2, it got hit with an attack of the inconsistent writing (“Twin Destinies” had me thinking it was growing the beard, then “Alliances” which had blatant and could-have-been-easily-fixed plotholes, and the horror that was “Seizure”…
I wanted to love Universe like the other Stargates but instead it was just ok. Some good characters but others I just didn’t care enough about.
