It struck me as a fairly entertaining idea if a post doctoral researcher joining an academic department that consists of mad scientists and classic horror movie monsters. Life as a post-doc can be pretty interesting, and sometimes you lose your job or have to move on and your options are limited. In desperation you could end up all sorts of places. Sometimes bad, sometimes good. Jury’s still out on what this is for Guy.
