That angel obviously wants him to suffer – it could have killed him between panels 1 and 2, but it just let him bounce off itself before going all offscreen violence on him.
Only problem is that the Weeping Angels DON’T normally kill their victims.
They send them back in time and feed off the displaced time energy resulting from their prey living out the rest of their lives in a previous time period.
So unless he pissed the Angel off somehow, our villain is alive and well somewhere/when in the (hopefully too distant to cause anymore trouble…) past.
I guess he didn’t ‘see’ that coming? 😉
