I only remember him because I binged the archives fairly recently. he pops up occasionally as a kind of time travelling field agent
Yeah I did a re-read from season 14 on to remember who all the villains were, it was worth it for this season.
Maybe they would have preferred Will Riker. But yeah, when sending messages to the distant future it is hard to decide who will get to read them.
