Why do I get the feeling there’s supposed to be accompanying paragraphs of text describing the concepts that brought these Second String comics into being?
A famously bad movie called “The Room,” by Tommy Wiseau. As TvTropes puts it, “It’s exactly what you should expect to get when a man who can’t act, write, direct, or produce stars in, writes, directs, and produces a film.”
And of course, the not-so-widely-held belief that Tommy Wiseau is an alien being with only an absurdly superficial knowledge of how humans speak, think, and behave attempting to pass himself off as human. Poorly.
No Wikipedia article could do it justice (injustice?). It’s literally baffling how bad it is. Lack of skill aside, I swear you’d have to be totally unfamiliar with not only filmmaking but with human beings to make some of the mistakes they made.

“The Room”
Pop culture reference I’m missing?
You’re not the only one.

Thanks for the help!
Thanks! I just read the Wikipedia article on it. Not sure I’d have believed the levels of horrible otherwise. Wow.
