I suspect that if Bob’s guest died suddenly, that he wouldn’t have a problem with asking question of him, regardless! 😀 There was some pilot I saw on TV a while back for a show, where some bad guy died and his boss said, when asked about his corpse by one of his henchmen, “Interrogate him.” As if even death didn’t excuse him from being held accountable. 😀
All three partners got on the ship, everybody secretly paid different engineers to sabotage the pods of their rivals and their henchmen, which happened to include the ships crew, and one person accidentally survived all that cross-sabotage through a glitch (or semi-failed sabotage attempt), and that person might be one of the partners.
Oh, and all the partners put their money into a secret, long-term investment that will only pay out to the corporation owner(s), whomever they may be (since sleep pods in that age weren’t 100% reliable).

Torchwood?
Does your chewing gum lose its flavor on the hard drive overnight? 😁
Your hard drive is still working with all that leftover chewing gum you put on it? That’s amazing, how do you find equipment that robust these days? 😀
Don’t tell me, let me guess.

Ooh, I like that. Mind if I use that at some point?
Sure, why not.
Quite a lot of things I’ve done while gaming were turned into movies or real weapons. Too bad I didn’t get a patent or trademark on them first.
Well, maybe just a few, not a whole lot.
