Something just occurred to me, wasn’t the Doombee destroyed resulting in Johnny becoming the cyborg he is today? Or did Shawna build him another one?
Speaking of which, Johnny needs to have his one natural leg replaced as well, that way he would have the same artificial replacement limbs and eye(s) as the 6 Million Dollar Man.
I don’t exactly remember which season it was, but I believe Johnny’s fighter mostly had the cockpit blown off of it, throwing him into the vacuum of space without a space suit. More archive delving required! 😀
Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Johnny on the bridge of the Muffin just before this? How’d he get to a fighter, launch, and be in place to do this attack essentially between comics? [Friday 01/12 to mentioned in the next main comic Monday 01/15 and then seen the next one after that Tuesday 01/16]
The Jan 15th comic shows Johnny’s chair to be empty, therefore he obviously ran down to the hanger bay and launched very quickly. So in the immortal words of JMS of B5 fame, he “moved at the speed of plot”. 🙂
Not that that changes any part of what I said but check again. You can’t see Johnny’s chair on the 15ths comic cause the frame is zoomed in solely on the command chairs; Bob and Marty sitting with the chair I think Belinda usually sits at, plus Jeff standing to the side and Robin behind them. The helms chair is more towards the front of the bridge by view screen. The previous main comic before that, the 12ths, still shows Johnny sitting at the helm presumably still piloting the Muffin. So from that one comic, or even the span from Magnus saying ‘Fire’ to two panels in the next comic mentioning the fighters, Johnny managed to do all that.

Since when would there be somebody nuts enough to fund 6 million dollars for Johnny’s artificial limbs? 😀
Since the inflation made them much cheaper?
By pure coincidence Blur’s Song 2 came on at the exact moment I got to this page.

Wasn’t that Joss Whedon?
Nope! Looks like you were right and I was wrong. Humility is good, but it would be a whole lot nicer without the humiliation. 🙄😬🤤

Didn’t the gunner tell Magnus there was about a dozen fighters between them and the Muffin? How come we only see those three?
Good question: The answer is simple, there’s not enough space to show all 12 ships, so therefore some of them are simply off-camera! 😀
