Well, he’s not programmed with a positronic brain, then! 😀
I always thought of those three laws of robotics as getting in the way of too many practical things, like, making the robot choose something to be done in a particular situation, instead of forcing it into a deadlock it couldn’t recover from.
Considering those astromech droids are installed on starfighters and battleships, three laws would definitely go in way. Three laws droid would deadlock in every skirmish.
I’m tempted to make a politically-biased charge that 46’s incessant swearing is in violation of the laws of robotics, as there are certain types of people for whom being swore at causes them irreparable harm.
But I won’t.
Speaking of 46…when will the vaunted security droid interface with our new arrival? The LG subscriber base awaits!

Is it odd for a droid to not be constrained by the 3 laws? We’ve seen plenty of droids that attack people already in the comic.

Uh oh, that’s a dangerous answer for a robot…

“No reason I guess. No reason.”
“Are…are you reaching for that very large and heavy wrench?”
