My guess is that this isn’t her first rodeo…
Much fun can still be had, once they find a way to scare Wozik, which should be easy.
While Ensign Wozik may be easily startled, NHR would be back, and in greater numbers
I wonder if 46 and the droids are represented somehow? I don’t think the NHR covers droids! 😀
As droids are non-human, NHR does cover them.
I’m not sure they would cover it. Androids might be classified as a separate group since they’re not biological, therefore not technically a ‘species”.
Actually it’s still racist/speciest or whatever because of the segregation. Why do humans get their own department while everyone else is lumped together as “non-humans.”
Well, there are more humans than any other species on the ship. In fact, I’m not sure we’ve seen multiple members of any other species among the crew. (Also, we don’t know the relative sizes of the two departments.)
I think we have seen more than member of Lt. Denobi’s species as a crew member, but that’s the only one that comes to my mind right now.
It’s still segregation even if the two groups are evenly sized.
In fact, you can argue it’s even more ___-ist since it makes it clear that “human” is not simply being used as a catch-all for “people” but rather that it’s a reference to homo sapiens.
Was this because of my comment?
Yeah, that’s… pretty dreadful. The name being a historical misnomer wouldn’t really be a problem except to particularly whiny people with nothing better to do, (or a source of fun for jokers like those two), there being a second “separate but equal” officer for non-humans? Big problem.
