It occurs to me that the best way to solve this problem is to go to one of the bridges, set a timer that gives them enough time to get off of the ship and program the auto pilot to do this once they’ve left; adjust attitude to point the ship straight at the planet’s core and then turn on the warp engines. Everything is over in just a couple of seconds and Bly doesn’t have time to abandon ship. He and his crew are all dead.
It sounds as if they could get themselves back into the mainstream comic if only they could separate themselves from this ship, Bly, and his pirate allies. 😀
