Doctor/patient confidentiality gets weird in, for example, the US military. Back when “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” was still a thing, a doctor had to tell a duty to tell the person’s commanding officer if a person disclosed he was gay. Apparently the confidentiality isn’t absolute here either.
I get the point, but there’s a league or more difference between someone’s sexuality… and someone slowly dying in a manner that no one would otherwise know of or notice.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the Captain, upon learning this information, asks her: “Well what do you expect me to do about it?” 😀 I reckon he’s been through tougher things than learning the fate of one of his crew. Considering Belinda’s an extremely powerful Jedi, he probably can’t do anything about it, anyway! 😀
You know, she could have done a Jedi mind trick or two on the doctor (if that actually was a doctor).
Of course that could have “infected” the doctor with whatever mental problems she may be currently suffering from and then the doctor would have a better understanding of one of the problems her patient is suffering from….and that’s “good”, right? After all, she did want to know.

I think there is a typo Instead of “you captain” it should be “your captain”
I’m surprised Nancy didn’t say ‘the’ captain…unless she’s on loan, or they’re not on board the Muffin? I may not be tracking the story too well.
Oh, there’s a link for typo notifications on the right.
Or it’s foreshadowing.
