Probably permanent until she goes on a “Journey of Healing”. IE: Goes to find one of numerous “dead” Jedi healers, or “lost” technology, or any one of a number of ways to cure “permanent” injuries.
If the paralysis is permanent then Dr. Oon directly lied to the captain because he said it would heal with time. I wonder if it isn’t something else entirely. Like maybe she’s lost her connection to the Force.

Yeah, I had the same thought. My guess is, she went blind and is using The Force to see.
My guess is also that she has lost her connection to the Force.
