And then there’s the question of what happens to an Eldritch Horror who’s inhabiting the body, soul, and brain of Creepius when Creepius dies. Does he try to hold him together with his Eldritch language, or does he also die with Creepius? This will be a very interesting question.
My own take on it is that The King in Yellow might be able to save himself. I don’t know if he will resurrect Creepius, though, although he probably won’t if it turns out that all of the powers Creepius acquired disappear with his death, and can’t be brought back with his body and soul.
The final thing is what will Creepius make of all this. He’s currently cohabitating with an Eldritch Horror against his will. If he sees any of the thoughts the King in Yellow has whilst being controlled and connected to his mind he probably can work a few things out, and perhaps he will either throw a spanner in the works, or he will see this as a way out of his immortality. Either way, it will be very interesting to see where Dr. Legostar is taking all of this! 😀
I can’t imagine the King in Yellow would inhabit Creepius’s body if it means he could die along with it. There’s behaving in a fashion incomprehensible to a normal mind, and then there’s just plain acting stupid.
Personally I think this delightful revelation is foreshadowing the death of Redwina Shirt, by the very method she has just outlined… thats usually how these things play out right?
I seem to recall a story in which the heroes used a nuclear device against Cthulhu. It inconvenienced him for a while, dispersing him, but he eventually rebuilt himself. IIRC. I would guess that the relationship between the King and Creepius is more like the relationship between a puppeteer and the puppet. They *might* blow off the puppeteer’s hand, but kill the whole being? Seems unlikely.

Direct hit by multi megaton nuke destroys brain, doesn’t it?
For eldritch horrors that might be the same as taking a mild sun bath …
