I don’t have anything in particular against Outback Steakhouse, it’s just what popped into my head when this idea came up. There’s a whole host of restaurants of this variety that I’m just not a big fan of. I also don’t get the association with Australia, I’m pretty sure any native Australians would be completely confused by the menu selections at an Outback Steakhouse if they had any assumption that it would “be like home.” I can’t imagine anyone thinking it would be like home anyway though, it’d be a bit like someone from Mexico thinking Taco Bell was “like home.”
Mostly all of this came from the idea of how it might be amusing if someone tried to pay a hit man with gift cards rather than actual money.
After many years I am finally the proud owner of legostargalactica.com. For as long as I’ve had my own domain name I’ve wanted that one, but it’s been owned by who knows who and not being used for much of anything, which did nothing but piss me off. Recently I’ve been getting e-mails about it being available soon from people trying to phish or scam me in some other way, but it put me on the alert to check regularly through my host. Yesterday I found it to be available and bought it up. All it does now is redirect here, not sure what I’m going to do with it besides that, but at least it’s mine now.
Panels 1-2 are a bit weird. I mean, what definition of “hire” is Jeff using that the mention of pay would be unexpected?
