Private Waines, Corporal Rosenberg
Oh snap!
I don’t like the Syfy network. I used to like it, when it was the Scifi Channel, but over the last few years things have changed a lot and I’m pretty disappointed with the current state of things. This rant comes about due to the cancellation of Eureka! which, for those of you who didn’t watch it, and I assume there are many given the cancellation, was a good show on the Syfy channel. I say good because it was hard to really get into, for me at least, which I could say might be in other part why it was canceled. It never seemed to be scheduled at good times and consistently and the seasons were short or there were half seasons, but overall it was and is a well written show that deserved to have the ending it wanted rather than what was thrust upon it. When I was younger, in high school and college I really looked forward to Friday nights coming home and watching things like Farscape and Stargate SG-1 (Yes, that’s what I did on Friday nights, you all know I’m a geek, I make this comic, but in my defense I taped the shows so I could watch them after coming home from dancing with beautiful women). I could also turn on the Sci-fi Channel from time to time and there would be an episode of the Outer Limits or some other classic (Read: Cheesy) sci-fi show. Now all the Syfy channel seems to show is real ghost hunters or for some reason I can’t begin to understand, wrestling. I miss the old Sci-fi Channel with it’s cool shows, cool miniseries, and absolutely horrible (with one exception) original movies. Admittedly they still seem to be making the horrible movies.
